We have chosen to add this section to the site to explain how to use our website and describe all the features available on it:
This is a new feature added to our site as we found it to be useful for users of the site to quickly retrieve current conditions in their local area.
When you first visit the website, the default location is set to London. To change this to somewhere closer to you, click "Change Local Location". This will give you a drop down menu of some areas in the UK. Please Note: We only have local conditions for the main cities in the UK. If you wish to have your city added to this menu, you can contact us by clicking
HERE and filling out the contact form. We will not guarantee your area will be added but if there are several requests, then we will certainly aim to add more. Once you have chosen your location, click Save Location and the page will reload with your local conditions. There is also a link for Detailed Weather Forecasts which will take you to Yahoo Weather.
Login Box
The login box on the top banner can be used to login directly to the Met Monkey Community Forum. You can signup to the forum by clicking
HERE - which will take you directly to the Met Monkey Forum Register Form.
Bookmark This Website
The link at the top can be used as a one click shortcut to bookmark the website into your browser. There is currently a bug with Mozilla FireFox in which once you bookmark the website, when you visit the link, it will open the site up in a small side frame. We aim to resolve this issue in the future - so for those using FireFox, we recommend manually bookmarking the site. This issue is not present in Internet Explorer or other browsers.
Weather Watches/Warnings

On the homepage we issue a forecast for the week or weekend followed by any watches or warnings if needed. The warning map has been designed to be simple to understand - you just need to follow the key. If part of the map is shaded in Orange, then there is a weather watch in that area. If it is red, then there is a severe warning for potential dangerous weather.
We also put a confidence percentage next to the watch/warning to let you know the likely hood of a specific weather event occuring. Please read the disclaimer
HERE as it explains how we are not responsible for any wrong decisions made as a result of following the forecasts and warnings.
If you feel at any stage that we have not covered everything you wish to know here, feel free to contact us by clicking
